COCAcabana 2006 Presents School Daze, School Craze. So Where'd You Go....? On Saturday, April 29, 2006 COCA held its COCAcabana School Daze, School Craze. So Where'd You Go....? gala. Guests put on their old saddle shoes, poodle skirts, their Levis, Madonna bustier, old football uniform or a gowns in their school colors!  No one was admiting to their graduation year, but it marked a time to celebrate high school at COCA’s annual gala. COCAcabana represents the St. Louis party that can’t be topped. Sponsored by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and co-chaired by Peggy Kaplan and Tracey Singer, this year’s event featured cocktails, a gourmet dinner, both live and silent auctions, and dancing to the sounds of Free Spirit. The spectacular auction items included: a 6 day, 5 night stay at The Westin - St John in the Virgin Islands; a Taste of Japan - Authentic Japanese Winter Fest Dinner for 10 at the home of Peggy and Lee Kaplan; a 4 day, 3 night stay and the Elbow Beach Resort in Bermuda and much, much more! COCA (Center of Creative Arts) has provided meaningful arts experiences to St. Louisans and their family for nearly two decades. COCA has become the largest multidisciplinary arts institution and one of the most valuable community assets in the St. Louis metropolitan area. It feels very proud to have been recognized asthe community's "Best Arts Organization" in St. Louis by the Riverfront Times. Twelve hours a day, seven days a week, COCA flourishes at the center of people’s lives…and at the center of cultural life in the St. Louis community.
