St. Louis, Mo., November 14, 2016 – Blacktie Missouri has launch an event-photography launched an initiative designed to provide thousands of meals to the hungry in the St. Louis area each year while photographing and promoting fundraising events for local nonprofit organizations and companies. Called Together For Hunger, this powerful new program will donate up to 80 meals to the hungry via a network of community feeding partners for each fundraising event photographed by Blacktie Missouri.

Under the new partnership, nonprofits and companies employing the services of Blacktie Missouri through the Together for Hunger campaign can secure a professional photographer for their event as well as placement for the photos on Their company or organization and its CEO will also be included in the growing list of those involved with Together for Hunger. Clients also receive exclusive usage rights for all photos as well as a slideshow to share with members of their organizations. And, most importantly, participation in the program helps in the fight to end hunger in our community.

For every event featured through Together for Hunger, up to 80 meals will be provided to those in need. Annually, this partnership is projected to serve more than 120,000 much-needed meals to the hungry across the metro area. The first round of community feeding partners include Gateway 180, Hawthorn Leadership School for Girls, Operation Food Search, Our Lady’s Inn Maternity Homes, St. Louis Area Foodbank and St. Patrick Center.

“Currently, St. Louis has the state’s highest food insecurity rate at more than 25 percent of the population,” said Bill Webster, Director of Blacktie Missouri and a senior photographer and long time contributor to the organization. “Kindergarten through eighth-grade teachers report that three out of five children come to school hungry, while one in five children live without consistent access to food. Blacktie Missouri is ready to help aid in this fight.”

Blacktie Missouri is operated by the Foundation for Commercial Philanthropy, a non-profit social entrepreneur, humanitarian private foundation that acquires, operates and holds a variety of commercial businesses for the express purpose of generating substantial net proceeds, 100% of which shall fund charitable social services to serve the poor. It is a private foundation of the Desloge family.
